How Hip Flexibility Supports a Happy Pelvic Floor
Your pelvic floor doesn’t work alone! The truth is that the mobility of your spine and hips deeply influences your pelvic floor. When the hip muscles become tight, especially the deep rotators and hip flexors, they create extra tension throughout the pelvis. That tension often shows up as discomfort, restricted movement, or a pelvic floor that struggles to relax and function optimally.
Gentle hip stretching helps restore freedom in the surrounding muscles, improves circulation to the pelvic bowl, and gives the pelvic floor room to move, lengthen, and coordinate effectively. Even a few minutes of hip mobility work can ease pressure, support better alignment, and encourage a calmer, more responsive pelvic floor.
When your hips move well, your pelvic floor can finally breathe.
